　　Good evening, honorable judges, dear teachers, my fellow students: I feel so honored to have this privilege to give you a speech which entitled “A Chinese Dream”. Over two thousand years ago, Confucius, the greatest educator and the idea of “building a world of Datong”. What is “Datong”? In modern peoples eyes, it means “Great Unity”. It refers to a world in which everyone, rich or poor, noble or humble, plays his part appropriately and everything is righteously placed and distributed. It seems that only those illustrious figures like state leaders or great scholars and scientists have the obligation to shoulder this dream of establishing “great unity.” It seems that such an ordinary sophomore in college like me has nothing to do with the realization of this lofty dream. If you should think so, ladies and gentlemen, I am afraid you are wrong, for tonight, I am here to say that as a Chinese, I strongly feel the call of duty from my soul. I am studying here in college to carry on this dream, and I am confident enough to say that I can make my contribution to shape the face of future China. You may say that youve been fed up with such clichs as “studying hard” or “protecting the environment”. Well, I feel exactly the same. Therefore, today instead of thinking and talking big, Id rather discuss my contribution in a comparatively narrow sense: do the best to fulfill my duty. And as I am saying this, right here right now, I am playing my part as a contestant in the integrated skills competition by preparing and delivering a speech to the best of my ability. We all know that big things happen when we do the small things right. In the same conscientious manner as I work out a speech, a teacher tutors every one of his students, a doctor treats every one of his patients, and a government official cares about the general welfare of the people. We can see the power of the individual becomes magical when each person in this society is taking his or her responsibility seriously. Dear friends, although I am nobody, and I cant instill an ideology into your mind, I still, in my own way, hold on tight to the Chinese dream. It is the collection of every single Chinese citizens every little effort that constitutes the everlasting dream of “Datong”. It seems that Ive already envisioned the glorious face of future China in my mind. And Im happy because I have done my bit to help shape it by being the best of me today. How about you, my fellow students? Finally, may the blessings of Datong be with China forever. Thank you!

　　Now I want to say something about my dream. What is my dream? I often ask myself. In my mind, everyone shall have his own dream. I think that having a dream means that we have an idea, and then we will do all the things to achieve the target. As long as we have a goal to be realized, we wont be blind at least.

　　My dream is to become a successful doctor, helping those sick people and saving their lives. Of course, to be a good doctor is very difficult, but I will do whatever I can do to keep everyone healthy. Thats my dream. I want to try my best to help the poor sick people of our country. I want to let them have an opportunity to receive excellent treatments for their illnesses without having to pay much or just enjoy them free. China is a developing country which needs good medicine and good doctors, especially in the countryside and distant villages. Now Im a junior student on Grade One, all my classmates and I are working hard. We all know that the entrance exam of high schools coming in the year of 20xx is a big challenge for us, so we must study harder and harder in order to go to a good high school. Thus after we finish our senior high school, we are able to go to a good university. Finally, we can find a good job in society.

　　The first robot is Peg. It has a square face, its body is a big circle, and it has a small mouth. It can run very fast, it can jump very high, it can swim slowly, and it can fly with me!
