　　now i am a junior student, and i like studying, my not best in our class, but i still think i am a good student. my teacher think also!

　　can you imagine how difficult i will, when i meet a problem in english, and i am not perfect one in my class, i do not like english at the very beginning for i know nothing about english which is only task from school and my parents, i am not good boy at that time.

　　but, you know, i am really want learn something now, i want keep up with the so-called mainstream, i want to be a good student. can you imagine how difficult when i face the simple english, i just know nothing. however, in this most difficult and key moment , english teacher ms x come to me, she understand me i suppose, she pay much more time in this english poor level boy, i want to say thank you my teacher.

　　Since I first steeped on my platform, I have decided to be a good and successful English teacher. However, in my class, when I gave lessons to my students, filled with enthusiasm and passion, some of the students always looked so tired and sleepy. When I spent much of my time preparing for my lessons, trying my best to make my lessons vivid and interesting, the teaching effect and feedback was not that I had expected. Moreover, when I was willing and eager to teach them all that I’ve learned, their abilities of English were still mediocre. I was looking for the reasons. And I was always asking myself: Am I good and successful? How can I be good and successful?

　　There were of course many complicated reasons and factors. And in my opinion, whether I am good or not, includes many factors such as my knowledge, my personality, my quality, my methods, teaching art and so on. Absolutely, to be a good and successful English teacher is not an easy job. I need to have an excellent command of English myself to make my students appreciate me and enjoy my class. I need to have the abilities to provide a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and environment for the students’ study. I have to adopt efficient and various teaching methods to my students’ level. I need to develop my teaching art and skills. I should make full of each student’s ability and always encourage them to give them confidence. Therefore, “Live and learn” and “never too old to learn” have been the mottos I’ve adopted. I must improve my own abilities and skills of teaching, to keep up with the rapid development of our information age and society.

　　Is that enough for me to be good and successful now? No, that’s far from enough.

　　In spite of all the above aspects of good teaching is the primary and the most important requirement: love teaching and love my students.

　　I’ve learned to be the students’ teacher, their elder sister, their friend, their mother and so on. I show my care and love for them. Whenever they are in trouble, being sick, feeling blue or in a bad mood, I am the person that will try to take care of them, talk with them or try to help them balance themselves in good condition. I respect and trust them. When they fall in love with sb., quarrel with friends, cannot get along well with parents, etc. I’ll analyze the pros and cons, the advantages and disadvantages, and give them some opinions or suggestions. I sympathize with and understand them. When they break the rules or do something wrong carelessly, I will help them out of trouble instead of scolding them. I am always strict with them and also place high and enthusiastic hopes on them to make them be strict with themselves and be confident of themselves.

　　Everyone needs love. Love is one of the most magical and wonderful feelings in the world. Teachers’ love for their students can make the impossible become possible. The love can change the disvalued into valued. The love can win the students’ love and respect in return. The love can motive the students to work hard. The love can promote the students to better and better in many ways. The love can make the students open their heart to let us know what they are doing, what they are thinking about and how they are feeling.

　　I have had a lot of teachers in my school who have given me much help in my study. For their help I will never forget them. But today I am going to talk about a special teacher of mine. This teacher is not a human being and its name is“Computer”. It has been teaching me a lot of knowledge and I appreciate it very much.

　　With the development of modern science and technology, computers are widely used in every teritories [every field] including education. How can a computer be my teacher? How does a computer teach me? Multimedia(多媒體)helps a lot in this aspect in recent years, and computer-based training (CBT) has become a popular educational medium (手段). Even before the multimedia come [came] up, many different learning systems appeared, using the components and techniques we now associate with the term “multimedia”. Multimedia components, such as graphics (動畫) , animations , sound and video, make the learning process easier through visualization. Animations can present many complex subjects dynamically, but human teachers can not do this on blackboards. Multimedia makes our study more lively and interesting. For example, a CD-ROM disk named “Encarta Encyclopedia” contains650 MB information including images, graphics, music clips, video clips, animations , texts, hotwords, and database search functions. Fields involved includes physical sciences, performance arts, social sciences, politics, military, education and so on. When pressing a button, I can hear American President Clinton"s speech clip. I may enjoy playing all kinds of musical instruments in the world. I can also see the animation of many physical phenomena. This makes physical concept to be understood deeply [ concepts understood better]. The audio features of multimedia can greatly help me learning [learn] foreign languages. With its speech output capabilities, I"m no longer dependent on an instructor for proper pronunciation.

　　How can I interact with a computer? There are many ways, including keyboard, mouse pointer, and touch screen. I often use a keyboard. When I press right keys, I can see and hear whatever I want. Information world is at my fingertip. I wish that true speech input-output system would be invented one day.

　　As teachers, computers have a lot of virtues： They are positive, they have good memories and never lose any information stored in them. They have much knowledge in every field. They can let out all kinds of sounds, and can also improve the efficiency of our study. For example, if I want to, I can skip some chapters so that I can study at my own pace.

　　Although computers will never take the place of human teachers, they are welcomed by more and more learners. Computers will continue to evolve(發(fā)展)with the aid of modern technologies. Computers are so powerful, helpful and important that everybody needs it, especially in the future! I love my computer teacher!
