關(guān)于梭羅，我是很矛盾的。我在認(rèn)定他有著老者的平和睿智的同時(shí)，腦中又時(shí)時(shí)會(huì)浮現(xiàn)出這樣的.一個(gè)身影：一個(gè)孤獨(dú)的孩子，獨(dú)自漫步湖邊或徜徉林中，沒有驚慌，也不顯無助;看著那蓬勃華麗的生長著一切，內(nèi)心充滿著喜悅，似乎他也參與了創(chuàng)造，他也可以隨之生長起來。那份自在自得讓他儼然成了山林之王;然而他又?jǐn)嗖豢狭桉{于萬物之上的，他只想做自然永遠(yuǎn)的孩子。
是啊，他是自然的孩子，但這不是一個(gè)對世界的新奇嘰嘰喳喳叫囂個(gè)不停的孩子。我常常驚詫于他的那份好奇與平靜。他靜靜地打量著一切，不管是喧囂的城市，還是靜謐的山林。他靜靜地思考，思考著人類偉大的創(chuàng)造力，也思考他們唯我獨(dú)尊的行徑。他是人類的尊者。他以一顆安靜而純粹的心靈，以一顆高貴而智慧的頭顱俯看著茫茫眾生。他在工業(yè)革命初期便預(yù)見到了一兩百年后的今天的現(xiàn)狀,他關(guān)懷著人類，又蔑視著人類。他擔(dān)心一切美好的事物都會(huì)隨著人們功利目的下的發(fā)展而消逝，瓦爾登湖也將要成為記憶之湖。甚至記憶都會(huì)淡去，直至不復(fù)記憶。
以前，我一直以為我可以如梭羅般的生活。我甚至也在嘗試著那樣做，只可惜我生活在一個(gè)說不上繁華卻也絕非寂寞的小城。我無法弄到一塊屬于我的地，當(dāng)然更不可能有一方真正的山水，除了把高樓的陽臺安置滿各種綠色植物。盡管我生活素淡，在簡單中體味著生命的純粹，但塵世中凡俗事物依然可以令我焦頭爛額;我喜歡山野，卻不一定能夠真正歸隱身田園。
梭羅是把瓦爾登湖當(dāng)作情人來愛的吧。因?yàn)閻壑钋校圆蝗菰S破壞;而生活在文明社會(huì)里的我們，無非是想保存著一種清野的夢幻慰安自己罷了。所以梭羅便具有了獨(dú)一無二的氣質(zhì)和迥異于常人的偉大。
