Dear Sir or Madam
I'm very glad to have this opportunity to write this essay on behalf of entering APU.
My name is ***. I'm a 17 year-old student currenty studying at Tianjin's No.2 senior high school.
I'm the only child of my family. My father is an engineer. He has participated in the design of Tianjin's NEW ISTYLE TOWN. Marco Polo Plaza and the reconstruction of Zhongshan Road. In the project of NEW ISTYLE TOWN, my father was the leading Chinese engineer, He always tells me that I should learn how to manage my time in an efficient way so that I can not only do well in my study, but also enjoy my life as much as possible. My mother is a typical andtraditional housewife in my mind. Both of my parents are nice and kind people, making us a happy family.
Then I'd like to introduce myself. I'm an open and active person. I'm open to all kinds of cultures and happy and eager to learn from other cultures. I like Japanese culture. For example, I like to make friends with people from other cultures. Chatting with friends, with cherry blossoms around us, is one of the enjoyable moments in life. Besides, electronic products and Japanese food are also reasons why I like Japan.
Basketball is one of my favourite sports. I play mid-fielder in our basketball team. I have participated in the basketball match in our school. I played hard with my team members and we had really good cooperation in the game. Although we lost in the end, the experience of working together and team spirit have brought me great understanding of how to work with people in life.
With the influence from my father, I have great interest in drawing. I often go out with my father to do stretching during holidays or nice days. To me, drawing is a good extracurricular activity, because through drawing I can feel relaxed and refreshed.
During my three years study in Tianjin No.2 senior high school. I thought I must make plans for my future. So I choose APU to continue my higher studies because I thought ritsuneikan Asia pacific university was an ideal choice for me.
At first I must state that, Ristsumeikan Asia pacific university is the only college that has a bilingual education system in Japan. After comparing with the other colleges in Japan. APU has the most students comes from all over the world. They speak different languages, have different cultures and backgrounds. We can communicate with each other so we can learn more things than in a traditional college. And I can try my best to learn both English and japanese in order to face the future.
Secondly, currently APU has over 2000 students from about 78 countries from all around the world. As a foreign student, by living and studying with them in APU, I could get more chances to make friends with international students who are not purely from China. So I can get to know their cultures though our communication in daily life and I will also share our Chinese cultures with them as well. I think I will enjoy the time I spend in APU, all these attracted me to study at APU. So I will do best in studies. And then I could get a good job in the near future after I graduate from APU.
Why do I prefer to study in Japan (APU)? I think the educational system in APU is more suitable for me, as a student who had been studying in china for about 12 years; for me the Chinese educational system didn't fit. And I think I could have a better environment to study if I'm at APU.
Although I'm an independent boy, to live and study alone in Japan will also be a great challenge, Maybe I will come across many difficulties, but I will face them, and I will overcome any difficulty I meet in the near future with courage.
And at last I would like to thank all the APU personals for giving me this opportunity to enter this great international collage. I hope wo meet you all in the near future.
