The local vernacular is Amoy,a dialect of Southern Min,also called Hokkien.Amoy is widely used and understood across the southern region of Fujian province as well as overseas.While it is widely spoken in and around Xiamen,the Amoy dialect has no official status,and the official language of all government business is Mandarin.

It’s like a garden on the water. You can go there by ship/sea. On the island, cars, buses and bikes are not permitted there. It is so quiet that wherever you go, you can hear the sound of playing the piano. As a result of this, it is called “ the island of music”.
(Thus/ Therefore) The Sunshine Rock is/lies on the highest place of the island. Standing on the top of it, you can enjoy/catch sight of the beautiful scenery of the whole Xiamen and other islands. If you want to know more about Xiamen’s history and changes, you can visit Xiamen Museum, which will make you understand Xiamen better. Such is Gulangyu, a fairyland in the world.

We lived in a small fishing village. On the first day, we visited to Xiamen University and Nanputuo Temple. Xiamen University is consideredas the most beautiful and romantic campus in China. Indeed, it's fantastic and its buildings are distinctive. On the second days, we enjoyed the scenery of Jimei District. On the third day, We visited to Gulangyu. It's amazing and I like it very much. There 初中英語(yǔ) are many small specific stores. However, the huge tourist visitors make the small island crowed. Anyway, it was a pleasant trip.
