Unluckily there was no shelter nearby. We had to take a bus to go back home in a hurry.

整個下午，我都沒有心思上課。上課時，我總在想，我答應媽媽要考80分以上的，可是我卻只考了28分，回家去怎么交待呀！老師似乎知道了我的心里在想什么，下課后把我叫到辦公室，用手摸著我的頭問：“你上課怎么了？無精打采的'，是不是有什么心事？”我低著頭，吞吞吐吐地說：“我……我這一次沒有考好。”老師笑著說：“那下一次好好考不就行了。”我小聲應道：“嗯！”
回到家里，我滿臉通紅，用驚恐的眼光望著媽媽說：“媽媽，對不起，我不應該……”我一邊說，一邊把考卷遞給了媽媽。媽媽只瞟了一眼試卷，就一巴掌打了過來，說道：“你這個不爭氣的東西！”
那天，我沒有哭，因為我知道：我對不起媽媽。
從那以后，我認真學習英語，終于把英語成績趕上來了，每次考試都能拿到85分以上。我想，這與當初的那一耳光是有關的。
