　　“God, it’s snowing outside now”, I yelled out to myself when I pulled the curtain up and looked out through the windows. It was snowing heavily! The snow flakes were falling down from the grey sky and the ground was all white. Finding a cab to go to work will be a problem, I murmured.

　　I was right! I had stood in the cold and icy street for half an hour before I managed to get in a cab! It’s freezing cold this morning. I saw many people hanging on road waiting for cabs with desperation, because almost all the cabs in the city were occupied at peak hours, especially on the snowing days.

　　The driver was quite talkative and excited. I bet he was excited about the weather, which would definitely bring to him more profits than usual! He still complained a lot, though. He said he could only earn more during the raining and snowing days. The management fees are raised, the petroleum prices are raised and the maintenance expenses are raised, yet his passengers are not increased accordingly!

　　Well, I guess some people will never be satisfied with their current situations. People always want more than what they have in hand. Except for Amanda and the job as an interpreter in the government, I have nothing left. This snowing season has formed a storm of disaster for me!

　　I’m worrying about myself. I have no idea where to head for. I know well being a so-called government officer in this Northeast city is not ideal. Something which should deserve to be mine has not yet come to me. I work hard; I strike for it, without even knowing what it is. Moving to an unknown destination is dangerous, while staying where I am is absolutely not a good idea either!

　　My heart aches whenever I realize I am still far from being successful in any area! My mind always turns to be a mess when I try to think of something. Now I see myself standing right on a cross road, trying to figure out which way to go. My life will be different whichever direction I take. There’s always a cause and a consequence in life. If I have done something bad before, I have to take whatever consequence with ease!

　　All the dirty, nasty and disgusting things are covered by snow now. The ground looks so clean that I even hesitate to leave my foot prints on it. However, my foot prints will definitely be shown on the snow. People and I can see them clearly. Straight or not, they are going to be the trace of my life. My terminal is seen down there, shining and waiting…

It is a habit that will lead you to a life where you have peace of mind, better and more efficient work churn out and more time on your hands to do the things you enjoy.

　　There are many techniques that you can adopt to help you in managing your time better and get a kick-start in this process. And the best technique to start with is to learn how to focus on the job at hand. This can be done once you have prepared a list and prioritized the tasks that you have on hand. But once you have decided to take up a particular job, don’t let yourself get distracted on the way. Don’t allow thoughts on other projects to mingle and disturb your thought process. Ensure that you are determined to complete the job at hand before you allow your mind to take detours into other arenas awaiting attention. Avoid taking any kind of breaks while you are at that task and ensure that you complete it before you consider a cup of coffee or a call that you need to make.

　　I agree that people should sometimes do things that they don't enjoy doing. This is a basic part of being an adult. Plus, some things that aren't "fun" are still good for us in the long run.

　　Take personal tasks. Who enjoys going to the dentist? Very few people enjoy having their annual check-up with the doctor. Not a lot of people enjoy changing the oil in their car or moving their lawns. These are all things we do because we have to, not because we want to .We realize that taking care of our physical health is the sensible thing to do .We know that if we don't change the oil in our cars, our cars won't run. We understand that grass grows and if we don't mow it, our lawns will look like tropical forests.

　　Professional tasked are another part of the same equation. No one likes to be stuck with a boring assignment or to be told we have to work with someone no one else gets along with. Sometimes we have to put up with unfair criticism from a supervisor or resentment from those we supervise. If we're in management., we may have had the unpleasant task of having to fire someone. None of these are fun things, Unfortunately, they’re all part of earning a living, something the majority of adults have to do.

　　On the other hand, sometimes doing some thing we don't enjoy doing can lead to enjoyment. Simply by trying it again, we may decide we like doing it .for instance, we may have convinces ourselves we hate to dance. We agree to go to a club only to please someone else. Yet, for some reason, this time we enjoying dancing. We’ve been cheating ourselves of enjoyment without even knowing it. The same can be true of trying new foods or a new type of museum.

　　Doing what we don't enjoy doesn’t always have to be a bother, does it? It’s just part of life.

Generally speaking, there are several reasons accounting for /behind this phenomenon. Firstly, recent decades have witnessed the rapid development of people’s living standards. As a result, cars gained ever-increasing popularity and have found their way into our everyday life. Secondly, people participate in more activities or banquets than ever before, where they will drink liquor/strong wine. Then, they may get drunk but continue to drive.

　　Drunken driving is bound to generate severe consequence if we keep turning a blind eye to it. Besides, treating the injured and repairing broken cars mean a grievous waste of money, time and resources. With stringent laws and alert public, it will only a matter of time for drunken driving to become things of past.
