On March 8th, 1975, the United Nation started to celebrate the International Women’s Day. In China, the women’s day also called “March 8th”day. Why we celebrate women’s day? There is a long story.
Women’s Union of Chicago demonstrated against the inequality between men and women. They demanded that they should have the same payments, the same working hours as men had, and they should have the rights to vote. They even put forward a slogan: Bread and Rose, which stood for equal payment and a better living standard. This demonstrated had caused international attention to the women’s rights. A year later, a critical meeting was held in Demark, in order to promote the women’s liberation and equal rights, the council members decided to establish the Women’s Day on March 8th. Then March 8th, 1911 just became the first Women’s day.

Yuan Longping, who was born in September, 1930, graduated from Agriculture Department in Southwest Agricultural Institute. He has been working on agriculture education & the research into hybrid rice since he left the institute. In the 1960s, when China was suffering serious famine, he came up with the idea of hybrid rice, which has a high yield. Ten years later, he succeeded in inventing a new species that produced a 20 percent higher yield than common types of rice. Yuan devoted himself to the research into agriculture, & was honored by UNESCO & FAO. Although he is 70 years old, he is still working on the research into agriculture.

If they find me do the same wrong thing again and again, they will criticize me badly, which makes me do not dare to do it next time. And nobody will speak for me.

看到這個題目，你一定會感到很奇怪，難道你以前不喜歡英語嗎？我的回答是：Yes。
在三年級的時候，我們的課程表中多了一個英語課，我對它產生了濃厚的好奇，恨不得立刻就上一堂英語課。總算，盼來了第一堂英語課，英語課并沒有我想象的妙趣橫生，而是枯燥無味：沒有歡笑，而是痛苦；沒有互動，只有一排排 輪流朗讀。我厭煩了英語課，但還是努力聽課，把單詞牢牢記在腦子里，盡量上課多舉手發言，成績還可以。
四年級了，要聽寫單詞了，老師讓我們死記硬背記住單詞，在腦子里印下印子，可我一向喜歡快樂學英語，原本我已經不喜歡了，現在還要背單詞，我就對英語沒了興趣，成績有些下降了，期末考試只考了92分。這可急壞了爸爸媽媽，英語是很重要的。
這個想法就在四年級下冊剛開學被破解了。
四年級下冊了，爸爸給我報了英語興趣班，我起先死活也不愿意去，父命不可違呀！我還是勉強去聽了一節課，聽了一節課之后，我立刻答應了，因為他們那里的.老師教學方法很好，在他們那里學習好快樂，我很喜歡那里。
那里的老師上課總是微笑著，講話也很幽默。比如批評一個同學沒做家作，那個老師不是說，而是唱：“你怎么，可以，把家作，忘了，呢？”唱著唱著，還假裝暈了過去，可還是唱著：“你，你，你，你，你，氣……死我了……”弄得他面紅耳赤，我們笑得好開心，老師的演技太好了。我們的老師叫Amy，我很喜歡她，她使我對英語產生了興趣，我背英語單詞簡單了許多，記住也很快，成績逐漸提高了，我真開心！
原來，要提高英語成績并不難，要看有沒有興趣。
