The Language of Music
A painter hangs his or her finished pictures on a wall,and everyone can see it. A composer writes a work, ut no one can hear it until it is performed. Professional singers and players have greatresponsibilities, for the composer is utterlydependent on them. A student of music needs aslong and as arduous a training to become aperformer as a medical student needs to become adoctor. Most training is concerned with technique, for musicians have to have the muscularproficiency of an athlete or a ballet dancer. Singers practice breathing every day, as theirvocal chords would be inadequate without controlled muscular support. String playerspractice moving the fingers of the left hand up and down, while drawing the bow to and frowith the right arm—two entirely different movements.
Singers and instruments have to be able to get every note perfectly in tune. Pianists arespared this particular anxiety, for the notes are already there, waiting for them, and it is thepiano tuner’s responsibility to tune the instrument for them. But they have their owndifficulties; the hammers that hit the string have to be coaxed not to sound like percussion,and each overlapping tone has to sound clear.
This problem of getting clear texture is one that confronts student conductors: they haveto learn to know every note of the music and how it should sound, and they have to aim atcontrolling these sound with fanatical but selfless authority.
Technique is of no use unless it is combined with musical knowledge and understanding.Great artists are those who are so thoroughly at home in the language of music that they canenjoy performing works written in any century.

When i hear that thing,i am so surprise,but also happy because of these passengers.

European Football and American Football
Although European football is the parent of American football，the two games show several major differences. European football，sometimes called association football or soccer，is played in 80 countries，making it the most widely played sport in the world. American football，on the other hand，is popular only in North America（the United States and Canada）.Soccer is played by eleven players with a round ball. Football，also played by eleven players in somewhat different positions（位置）on the field，is played with an elongated（拉長(zhǎng)的）round ball. Soccer has little body contact（接觸）between players and therefore needs no special protective equipment. Football，in which players make the greatest use of body contact to stop a running ball-carrier and his teammates，needs special protective equipment. In soccer，the ball is advanced toward the goal by kicking it or by butting（頂）it with the head. In American football，on the other hand，the ball is passed from hand to hand or carried in the hands across the opponent's（對(duì)手）goal. These are just a few of the features which distinguish（區(qū)別）association and American football.

First, a lot of people can't get employment, which is a universal problem in the world. Second, in developing countries there are not enough shelters for too many people and so some people are not properly housed and even are exposed to the elements. Third, in underdeveloped countries a lot of people suffer from hunger because of food shortage, which in turn causes many other problems, malnutrition, disease, etc. Fourth, there are not enough schools for so many people and so a lot of people are illiterate.
Therefore, to eliminate these problems, human beings should take effective measures to control population.
