　　大家都知道，英語是一門國際性的語言，尤其是中國已加入了wto，學(xué)英語對我們來說是格外必要的。但是你可能會問：“如何才能提高我們的英語呢？”那好，接下來我便給大家說一說提高英語的捷徑。

　　首先，你應(yīng)確信你已在發(fā)音技巧和語音方面下了很多功夫。否則，你將會鬧出很多笑話。例如“我可以借一下你的自行車嗎？”而你說成“我可以借一下你的后背嗎？”“請遞給我那個箱子”而由于你的錯誤發(fā)音，竟說成“請給我一個吻吧。”很顯然，在這兩個句子中你讀錯了“自行車”和“盒子”這兩個詞，而對方也就自然誤解了你的意思。另外，語調(diào)的不同也可表達(dá)著不同的感情，舉個例子：倫敦橋塌了！倫敦橋塌了！我的夫人！（聲音高昂，表示高興）倫敦橋塌了！倫敦橋塌了！我的夫人！（聲音低沉，表示悲傷）

　　however, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. is fortune success? is fame success? is high social status success? no, i don’t think so. i believe success is the realization of people’s hopes and days, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. and the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. so most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. but the problem is wether it is real success. we all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. if we keep chasing them, where is the end? what will satisfy us at last? therefore, we can see, to get the real success we must need something inside, which is the realization of people’ hopes and ideals.

　　different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. but i am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. these are the best treasures. so now i am very proud that i have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. it is my success, cause i raise up to challenge my hope.

　　I wanna welcome everybody here in this cheer team. thank you for coming here this morning to stand on my side cheering me on. it’s my dream to have the opportunity to challenge all the foreign athletes to the championship at this great occasion: 20xx olympic games. now, the dream came true. as an athlete of china, i’m here to win the gold medal of orienteering for our motherland.

　　I’m so proud of being one of the best players in the world. but could you believe i had been a lazy girl when i was in junior high. i’m not kidding! at that time, running was my last favorite. i really don’t know how to describe the first time i was on the track. it was horrible. when i started to run, i was simply out of breath. and while i touched the finishing line, i really didn’t know if i was still alive. it’s so funny, huh? but it’s true, i did.

　　Well, something happened and changed the situation. we won the right of holding the olympic games in 20xx. after that, sports became a kind of game in campus. and there are many sports clubs in school. one day someone asked me:"are you gonna try one of those?"first i felt so wired.

　　"Try to get into sports clubs? are you kidding?" i said. and she goes: "why not? it’s not hard at all, and so fascinating!" so i did tried one and i was so lucky to become one of those who did orienteering. that is a fantastic sport! you need to run and find where to go just by using a map and a compass. it’s wasn’t popular in china at first. but when we heard it might become a new event in 20xx, we did practiced hard, and aimed to win the first champion of orienteering in the world. when we practiced, there were a lot of troubles. you know, sometimes you need to go with your feet, but sometimes you need to go with your heart. in some situations, we faced the difficulties and problems. and we need to solve that through teamwork and strong willpower. so we can run faster, go higher and be stronger. that is what we say—olympic spirit.

　　Now the dream came true. i’m standing here with all my body and my heart put in sports. so do the people from all over the world to here at the olympic games. it’s the olympic games that make us together. we are here for a big day of sport; we are here for a dream of sports. we are here for a spirit of sport that encourages us to face the difficulties of today and tomorrow.

New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.

　　Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

　　I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, "Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?"

Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying "Hey!
