we all want the future to be better than the past. but the future can go better itself. dont cry because it is over, smile because it happened. from the past, weve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. weve learnt that we cant choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. failure doesnt mean you dont have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. failure doesnt mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.
as what i said at the beginning, "we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite". the past has gone. nothing we do will change it. but the future is in front of us. believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. and from today on, lets be the owners of ourselves, and speak out "we are the world, we are the future."

為什么我們對如此美妙、如此不切實(shí)際,而我要說,如此缺乏想象力的東西這么樂此不疲呢?這樣的故事又如何能夠經(jīng)歷幾代人的重復(fù)?我想，因?yàn)樗堑湫偷某晒Φ睦印９适碌乃枷胄院軓?qiáng)，具有代表性。通過故事帶給我們的啟示，我們認(rèn)識到了成功定義中的四個步驟;第一，目標(biāo)的設(shè)定，有如故事里美麗的公主;第二，所遇到的困難和挑戰(zhàn)，就像三大任務(wù);第三，克服困難的過程，故事中青年經(jīng)歷重重難關(guān)可以作為象征;第四，就是成功的果實(shí)，如同幸福的婚姻。
這個故事不僅迎合了人們內(nèi)心深處對成功的向往，也強(qiáng)調(diào)了過程和結(jié)果的不可分離。如果通往成功的道路崎嶇曲折，那么成功的回報(bào)必然碩果累累，反之亦然。如果一個人繼承了父輩的百萬家產(chǎn)而生活得輕松富足，那么，即使在物質(zhì)上，他也不能算是個成功人士，因?yàn)椋呢?cái)富并沒有經(jīng)過艱難困苦而獲得。確切地說，“成功”這個詞，不是個靜態(tài)簡單的定義。在我的理解中，真正意義上的.成功是奮斗的過程和經(jīng)歷了奮斗之后贏得的滿意的結(jié)果。請讓我另舉一例來闡明我的見解。
如果我們試著改變足球的比賽規(guī)則，將球門放得很大，換下大衛(wèi)·希曼或其他任何的守門員，這樣，隨便哪個“大衛(wèi)”，比如說，“大衛(wèi)·貝克漢姆”，就可以輕松進(jìn)球，然而這樣進(jìn)一球卻不能給他帶來成功的震顫與喜悅。如果我們再改一改比賽規(guī)則，不讓阿森納隊(duì)的防守來守門，那么，貝克漢姆只要動動手，其實(shí)就是抬抬腳就能進(jìn)一球，那樣的話、，實(shí)際上也沒有什么比賽可言了，因?yàn)橼A球的意義已經(jīng)不存在了。在接受挑戰(zhàn)、克服困難和經(jīng)歷磨難的過程中，“成功”的價(jià)值才得以豐滿。取得成果的意義和所克服的艱難的程度成正比。所謂成功的概念不是一成不變的.而曇相對而言的,因?yàn)槔щy的性質(zhì)也是相對意義上的。
正常人不費(fèi)力氣做成的事對于一個殘疾人來說也許相當(dāng)困難。獲得了同正常人一樣的能力，這個殘疾人就獲得了成功。這便是我們?yōu)槭裁闯缇词返俜摇せ艚鸬脑颉m然行動不便，受到了輪椅的限制，他依然為科學(xué)界作出了巨大的貢獻(xiàn)。
就我自己而言，生性羞澀，容易怯場，不得不鼓起非常大的勇氣來參加此次的演講比賽。我完全可以待在一邊，不參加大學(xué)級別的比賽，而落得輕松自在。可是，我還是選擇了接受這一挑戰(zhàn)來面對困難。現(xiàn)在我來了，如果我能夠得第一的話.這對我來說就是巨大的成功。如果，我是最后一名—我希望情況不是這樣—但如果我真的是最后一名，我也不會認(rèn)為這次的嘗試是一次失敗，反而我要把它當(dāng)作一次真正的成功來慶賀，因?yàn)槲乙徊糠值哪繕?biāo)是對自己性格的鍛煉—更加堅(jiān)強(qiáng)、勇敢地面對困難。對我來說，這標(biāo)志著我在通向成功人生的漫漫征途中又向前邁進(jìn)了一步，盡管是很小的一步，但是我確實(shí)通過參與真正地獲得了收益。
回到我們年輕英俊的王子和對“成功”的四步驟定義上吧，您也許已經(jīng)注意到了財(cái)富、地位和名譽(yù)等這些世俗的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)在故事中并未提及，相反故事強(qiáng)調(diào)了克服重重困難的過程。古代的智慧已經(jīng)對成功的意義下了定義，這也是我的定義。

someone said "we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite". i dont know who wrote these words, but ive always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers. if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
we are young. "how to spend the youth" it is a meaningful
question. to answer it, first i have to ask "what do you understand by the word youth" youth is not a time of life, its a state of mind. its not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. its the matter of the will. its the freshness of the deep spring of life.
youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over
timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals. years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of whats next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart theres a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
