　　Dear teacher and classmates:

　　I am very glad to make a speech here in this class again! This time, I'd like to talk something about English.

　　I love English. English language is now used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. Learning English makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.

　　When I was seven, my mother sent me to an English school. At there, I played games and sang English songs with other children . Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.

　　Everyday, I read English following the tapes. Sometimes, I watch English cartoons.

　　On the weekend, I often go to the English corner. By talking with different people there, I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English.

　　I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America to visit Washington Monument, because the president Washington is my idol. Of course, I want to go to London too, because England is where English language developed. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge university, I will be very happy.

　　I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. I'll introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Anshan.

　　I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.

　　If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too.

　　In the matter of courage we all have our limits. There never was a hero who did not have his bounds. I suppose it may be said of Nelson and all the others whose courage has been advertised that there came times in their lives when their bravery knew it had come to its limit.

　　I have found mine a good many times. Sometimes this was expected--often it was unexpected. I know a man who is not afraid to sleep with a rattle-snake, but you could not get him to sleep with a safety-razor.

　　I never had the courage to talk across a long, narrow room. I should be at the end of the room facing all the audience. If I attempt to talk across a room I find myself turning this way and that, and thus at alternate periods I have part of the audience behind me. You ought never to have any part of the audience behind you; you never can tell what they are going to do.

　　I am a student from class 1 and my name is zou yu ting.I am very glad that I can have the chance to make a speech before you. The topic of my speech is 'We need friendship'.

　　The word 'friend' has many meanings. It can be a partner, a playmate as well as a confident. In all, our friends play an important role in our lives.

　　Maybe you will ask me 'What is friendship? '.some people say that friendship is a ray of sunshine in the dark. Friendship can make you away from darkness and can cheer you up at the same time.

　　Based on this, you may come up with another question 'Why we need friendship? '.We everyone needs friendship. No one can live alone. As life is full of difficulties, we need friends to support and help us out. Our friends give us warnings against danger. Our friends offer us advice with regard to how to deal with various situations. True friends share not only happiness, but also sadness.

　　As an old saying goes, a friend in need is a friend in deed. Fortunately, I have a true friend. She is not beautiful but very kind. Every time I met with problems, she gave me courage and confidence to overcome

　　difficulties. When I was in low spirits, she told me some funny jokes to cheer me up. When I caught in distress , she rushed to me to lend a helping hand. All these make it easy to stay with her. But every time when I greatly thanked her, she disappeared in the crowd.

　　Last but not the least. 'How should we make friends? 'Personally I think the most important thing is to be friendly. Cheerfulness is the basis of friendship. Believe it , smile is an attractive thing. A friendly person always thinks of others. People who refuse to consider others have few friends.

　　With friendship, life is happy and harmonious. Why don’t you treasure our friendship? Come on, everyone! Let’s try our best to make friends.

　　Ladies and gentlemen , good afternoon! i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. i hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.

　　first i want to ask you some questions:

　　1、do you know what is youth?

　　2、how do you master your youth?

　　youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

　　youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals.

　　years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

　　whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

　　Good morning everyone, it's my pleasure to be here and talk about dreams and ambitions with you. When I was a primary school student I wrote in my composition that I want to be a scientist when I grow up. At that age I didn't know what is a scientist, nor did I know what is dream. I wrote it because it's a standard answer for a composition test. And I know if I wrote that I want to be a peasant I would be criticized and laughed at, no matter what reason I gave it. But now in university, one of my classmates changed my idea. At the career planning class when asked about our dreams, one of my classmates stood up and said, " I want to be a peasant because I grow up in a peasant family and I love it." No laughter, no criticism, he was the only who winned a clapping.

　　It sets me thinking, which should be a man's dream? a scientist, or a peasant? It's not a simple question and my answer is both. This is exactly my understanding of this topic. Dreams are something we really want and are willing to try every effort to achieve, no matter how great or how small, no matter how others think, it depends on you.

　　Life is long, and we are just on the starting point. Finally we'll understand life is not just about making a living. There're something much more important than money and material enjoyment, that is spiritual wealth, that is dream. It's the process of your pursuit of dream, the process when you are trying, when you are seeking, when you are struggling, when you failed and restarted again and again with your determination, hardwork, and perseverance that make you, build you, and help you to lead a worthy and significative life, whether you'll achieve your dream or not, the result is not that important.
