　　The Great Wall, which is also called “wan li chang cheng” in Chinese language, is not only the treasure of Chinese civilization, but also the masterpiece made by the ancient Chinese people. The Great Wall is not only one of the world cultural heritages, but the symbol of the Chinese nation. Its architectural value is comparable to its historical and strategic importance. Among the numerous remains of the Great Wall, Badaling in Beijing is the most popular destination that has won fame both at home and abroad. It can also be regarded as the most representative section of the Wall ever constructed during the Ming Dynasty. Every year it attracts many tourists from all over the world.

　　長(zhǎng)城(the Great Wall)又被稱作“萬里長(zhǎng)城”，不僅是中華文明的瑰寶，也是中國古代人民智慧的結(jié)晶。長(zhǎng)城是世界文化遺產(chǎn)(world cultural heritage)之一，更是中華民族的象征。其在建筑上的價(jià)值，足以與其在歷史和戰(zhàn)略上的重要性相媲美。長(zhǎng)城現(xiàn)存的遺址有很多處，其中北京的八達(dá)嶺長(zhǎng)城是馳名中外的`景區(qū)，也是明代長(zhǎng)城最具代表性的一段，每年都會(huì)接待來自世界各地的許多游客。

　　How to Behave Well?

　　In order to build a civilized city, we students should try our best to behave well in the activities.

　　It's a good habit to keep our clothes clean and tidy. Our city should be kept clean every day. Don't throw litter or spit about. It's good manners to say "Thank you" and "Please" and so on. We should never say dirty words. Be friendly to others and always ready to help the people in need. For example, when we are on a bus, we should give our seats to the old and the women with babies. We should also obey traffic rules. When the traffic lights are red, we should stop. And we'd better not talk or laugh loudly in public.

　　If everyone behaves well, our city will be more beautiful and more attractive.

　　如何舉止得體?

　　為了建設(shè)文明城市，我們學(xué)生應(yīng)該盡力在活動(dòng)中表現(xiàn)良好。

　　保持衣服干凈整齊是一個(gè)好習(xí)慣。我們的城市應(yīng)該每天保持清潔。不要亂扔垃圾或隨地吐痰。說“謝謝”和“請(qǐng)”是禮貌的，等等。我們不應(yīng)該說臟話。對(duì)別人友好，隨時(shí)準(zhǔn)備幫助需要幫助的人。例如，當(dāng)我們?cè)诠�共汽車上時(shí)，我們應(yīng)該給老人和有嬰兒的婦女讓座。我們也應(yīng)該遵守交通規(guī)則。當(dāng)交通燈是紅色的時(shí)候，我們應(yīng)該停下來。我們最好不要在公共場(chǎng)合大聲說話或大笑。

　　internet civilizationgood afternoon, ladies and gentleman! first i want to say is that i’m very proud of to be invited to to present my topic here, which is “ internet civilization”.before i begin my topic, please allow me to ask you a question: every time you click the mouse to surf the web, do you know what does it mean?on the net, you can make friends overseas and call them with ip phones; you can get information from all over the world; you can even give a hand to some people in troubles and get help when in need.however, we have to admit that internet also leads to intimacy before acquaintance; it scatters secrets outwards, not inwards; and, most worrying of all, it is a vehicle for liars.here we should see, there exists good and evil, right and wrong on the web.

　　as netizens, we’d better grow to realize the importance of internet civilization.just as the famous saying goes “l(fā)ong and steep is the path to virtue.” many people advocate that we should be sincere, honest and responsible in our society—the real world.

　　now, what i want to add is that we also should obey the primary moral principles in this virtual world.all of my dear friends here, on the internet, which role did you play? which role are you playing? and which role will you play?

　　It is a tradition for Chinese people, when dinning, to sit around the table and share the same dishes. Different from that the westerners place flowers at the center of the dining table, the Chinese place dishes in the middle so that people could share them together. This custom reflecte the importance of food in Chinese civilization. What is more important, this way of dinning fecilitates the communication among diners. Usually, after a dinner, the relationships between friends get closer and the business partners deepen their mutual understanding. People would sometimes put the food into the bowls of the guests or the elders to show respect for them.

　　就餐時(shí)，圍桌共食是中國人的一種傳統(tǒng)。與西方人把鮮花放餐桌中央不同的是，中國人把菜肴放餐桌中央供大家一起享用。這種風(fēng)俗體現(xiàn)了食物在中華文明史上的重要地位。更重要的是，這種方式促進(jìn)了就餐者之間的交流。通常在一餐飯之后，朋友之間的關(guān)系更加緊密，生意合作伙伴也加深了相互了解。有時(shí)人們還會(huì)為客人或長(zhǎng)輩夾菜，以示尊重。

　　ladies and gentlemen, may i take your attention? thank you! today i will give a talk about biding to host the national civilized city. with the developing of societal science and technology in the earth which i love deeply, our life becomes more and more convinent and comfortable. but on the other hand, how is our envorinment and how is people’s cultural quality. iam very sad .because people throw rabbish here and there. and people drive car again sting the rules. how terrible our city is!

　　but luckly, the govenment of jiang xi province hosts an activity named "bid to host the national civilizd city".it can help to ehance our cultural quality as the same time the developing of sicence and technolog.

　　this activity let citizens know the ture meaning of civilizd ,let people know more about the basic knoeledge and , let us know hosting the national civilizd city is not a thing of a moment!so we must have perseverance to do what we can do and what we should do to help our city to be more civilizable.

　　for example, we can hold some good activities every can make some speeches to arouse the public’s aware.

　　when we do our best to do it, we can see the blue sky being cleaner,the rival is more beautiful, the traffic is more convinent and our city is more civilizable.
