　　the kitchen,as I cooked our meal,my daughter crept1 up to me,very still.When I turned.I

　　nearly knocked her down.“Get out of the way!” I barked with a frown.She sauntered2 away.

　　with her little heart broken. I didn’t realize how harshly I’d spoken.

　　That night, as I lay awake in bed,God’s quiet voice spoke to me and said, “While dealing with a stranger, you’re calm and polite.but with those you love, you’re QUICK to excite…Go look right now on the kitchen floor,you’11 find some flowers there by the door.Those are the flowers she brought for you. She picked them herself--pink,yellow,and blue.She stood there quietly,not to spoil your surprise,And you never saw the tears in her eyes.

　　By this time, I felt sad and small and now my own tears had begun to fall. I quietly went and knelt by her bed;” Wake up, sweetheart, wake up,” I said, ”Are these the flowers you picked for me?” She smiled,” I found’ em, out by the tree. I wrapped “em, especially the blue.” I said, “I’m so sorry that I missed them today… And I shouldn’t have fussed at you that way.”

　　And she whispered,“Mommy,that’s ok ay…I still love you anyway.”I hugged her and said.

　　“I love you too…And I LOVE my flowers, especially the blue.”

　　Are you aware that:If you die tomorrow, the company that you are working for could easily

　　replace you in a matter of days.But the family you leave behind will feel the loss for the rest

　　of their lives.And come to think of it,we pour ourselves more into our work than into our families--an unwise investment indeed.

　　此時,我感到悲傷、渺小；此時,我已潸然淚下.我輕輕走進女兒房間,跪在她的床邊,“醒醒,親愛的,醒醒,”我輕輕呼喚.“這些是你采摘給我的鮮花?”

　　她露出笑顏:“我發現了它們,在樹下.我用紙巾將它們包起,只是為了送給你.我知道你會喜歡它們,特別是那藍色的花.”我羞愧萬分:“抱歉我傍晚沒看見它們,我真不應該對你大聲嚷嚷.”

　　她悄悄說道:“媽咪,沒關系……我依然愛你.”我擁抱她,對她說出心里話:“我也愛你…我愛你送我的花,特別是那藍色的花.”

　　你有沒有想過:如果明天你離世而去,你供職的公司可以不用幾天就找到人替代你.但是你撒手拋下的家人卻要用余生感受失去你的悲傷.想想看,我們將身
