　　The people of China have been very much in my thoughts over the past two weeks as I have watched, with mounting concern, the effects of the devastation caused by the terrible earthquake in Sichuan Province.

　　It has been most impressive to see the marvellous way in which the Chinese humanitarian operations have brought swift and effective relief to those affected. I am particularly pleased that the Wenchuan Earthquake Orphan Fund has been established, to help the children who have lost their parents in the disaster.I wanted to take this opportunity to send my deepest sympathy following this terrible tragedy to the people of China, and my most heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost loved ones.

　　My Prince's Charities are engaging ever more closely in China, including work to assist, in a small way, with the preservation of China's rich and diverse heritage.

　　It would give me the greatest pleasure if we were able to develop these ties still further with, in particular, practical assistance from my Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment in planning the reconstruction of parts of Sichuan Province.

When the People's Liberation Army are the people who are trapped inside one by one of the rescued, I am very happy, but when I saw those orphans, the heart will be saddened by it.

　　I hope you in the face of disaster, never give up. I hope you can rebuild their homes. The people across the country are helping you!

　　I hope you can return to school as soon as possible!

　　I want to say loudly to the people of disaster areas,that the disaster is cruel,but our people are se believe the Party,believe our county,believe our 1.3 billion motherland have not forgotten are all here.

　　Although most of us cann't go to the front-line disaster areas,our hearts are always with ng such a catastroplu,as students,we will turn grief into strength,and spare more efforts to study the future development of the technology to rule out the difficulties and the storm,to rebuild our beautiful homeland.
