b.應(yīng)付的，應(yīng)得到的，預(yù)期的 后接動(dòng)詞不定式或不帶什么。
例。The train is due at 1:30.火車應(yīng)于一點(diǎn)半到。
Mr. Hill is due to speak twice tomorrow.希爾預(yù)定明天演講兩次。

18.progress n.進(jìn)步，進(jìn)展 in progress 在進(jìn)行中 e.g. You have made great progress in English. The harder you work, the greater progress you’ll make. v.前進(jìn)，進(jìn)行+副詞 e.g. We are now progressing steadily with our work. v.上進(jìn)，提高，進(jìn)步 e.g. You have progressed quickly in maths. 19. give up a.放棄 +n./doing 當(dāng)賓語(yǔ)是it/them時(shí)，則放在up 之前。 e.g.He was forced to give up school.他被迫輟學(xué)。 He gave up smoking at last. b.獻(xiàn)出，讓出，交出 He gave up his seat to the old woman. Give up your arms and live.交槍不殺 c.投降，認(rèn)輸，泄氣，其后可以不接賓語(yǔ) e.g. Don’t give up, you may succeed. d. give up on 對(duì)---表示絕望，放棄，（不可以用被動(dòng)態(tài)）
