六. 重，難點解析

1. 情態動詞can的用法

（1）表示能力，意思是“能”

eg Can you sing?

你會唱歌嗎？

Yes, I can.

是的，我會。

He can speak English, Japanese and French.

他能說英語，日語和法語。

（2）表示可能性，意思是“可以”，“可能”。

eg What can I do for you?

我能為你做什么？

She can't be serious.

她不可能是當真的。

（3）表示允許，意思是“可以”。

eg You can go now.

現在你可以走了。

我能借用你的自行車嗎？

Can I borrow your bike?

2. have to的用法

是情態動詞，表示客觀需要做的事情，意思是“必須”，“不得不”。

have to有第三人稱單數的變化has to，有時態變化 had to（一般過去時），will have to（一般將來時）等。

eg: The poor boy had to work hard for a boss at eleven.

可憐的孩子十一歲就不得不替老板做苦工。

The girl has to practice playing the piano every day.

這個女孩不得不每天練琴。

Shall I have to obey the teachers when I go to school?

我上學的時候一定得服從老師嗎？

3. join與take part in的用法：都可以表示“參加”的意思，但用法有所不同：

（1）join指加入某組織或團體，成為其成員之一。如參軍，入團，入黨等。如：

eg My wish is join the army.

我的愿望是參軍。

When did he join the League?

他什么時候入團的？

（2）join in指參加某項比賽或活動，常用于口語中。

eg Can you join the game?

你能參加這個游戲嗎？

All of us join the discussion.

我們都參加了這個討論。

（3）take part in指參加“活動”。

如：take part in the sports meeting/an activity/a picnic“參加運動會/參加游戲/參加活動”

4. have a piano lesson“上一堂鋼琴課”

have不作“有”講，與lesson連用，意思是“上課”。

eg: have an English lesson 上一堂英語課

We have four lessons in the morning and three lessons in the afternoon.

我們上午上四節課，下午上三節課。

class也有課的意思。“在上課”英語是“in class”而不是“in lesson”。

【典型例題】
