11. alive 是表語形容詞，不能作前置定語，可作后置定語。

如：a man alive

They found the tiger was still alive.

12. step 踩，踏

Don’t step on my foot.

He stepped slowly into the house.

step by step一步一步地，逐漸地

He will catch up with us step by step.

13. hunt 搜尋，打獵

They are hunting for the lost child.

They used to go hunting in the woods.

The hunter hunts several hares every day.

14. if引導的條件狀語從句

a. 在表示假設情況的條件狀語從句中，主句用一般將來時，從句用一般現在時，當從句放在主句之前時用逗號將主句與從句分開，反之則不用逗號。

If he comes , I will call you.

If it rains , we will have to put off the match.

They will come to your party if you invite them.

We will go fishing if it doesn’t rain tomorrow.

b. 在表示重復性的、可預見的情況或習慣動作的條件狀語從句中，主句和從句都用一般現在時。

If a fish is out of water, it dies soon.

A snake attacks you if you step on it.

If it rains, I go to work by taxi.
