（教師）1. Point to the story. Look at the words indicated in bold. Ask different students to guess the meaning. Don’t give them the correct answers.

（教師）2. Ask students to read the article once, noting any words or sentences they don’t understand. Then ask students to raise their hands and say which words and sentences they don’t understand. Encourage students to read in context, guessing the meanings of words and phrases from the other words around them. Ask students to read the article again for comprehension.
