Teaching Goals:
1. Make the students understand what is a “Theme Park”.
由于“主題公園”這一概念可能學(xué)生還不是很熟悉，作為知識(shí)教學(xué)的一部分，應(yīng)將著一部分作為一個(gè)重點(diǎn)，以拓展學(xué)生的一些課外知識(shí)。
2. Learn more about content about theme parks.
3. Teach the students to get some certain information in a passage according to the request.
閱讀是學(xué)習(xí)外語(yǔ)的主要輸入方式之一。本冊(cè)書的中的閱讀課程中主要是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的各種閱讀技巧，具體的將在下面的教案中具體體現(xiàn)。
Teaching importance and difficulties:
1. How to make the students understand the theme park.
由于信息和時(shí)間的限制，如何使學(xué)生明白一個(gè)新的概念是很困難的。
2. How to learn the skill of skimming and scanning.
3. How to understand a passage as a whole.

Step 1 Lead-in
The teacher can use the question “Have you ever been to the World Park in Shen Zhen, China?” to make the students get a general idea about the theme park.
有可能還有一些同學(xué)不知道深圳世界公園，那么教師可以利用學(xué)生所熟悉的例子，如：Have you ever been to the The World Under the Sea in Nanjing?關(guān)于南京的海底世界，學(xué)生們可能更清楚一點(diǎn)。
那么，海底世界主要的目的就是為了讓人們了解海里的一些生物的狀態(tài)，這些都是平時(shí)生活在陸地上，尤其是我們這些生活在內(nèi)陸的人所不知道的，它就是一個(gè)主題公園。（由此，學(xué)生就可以明白主題公園的大概含義）
Step 2 Skimming and Scanning
跳讀和略讀是一種非常重要的閱讀技巧，是一中提高閱讀速度的技能，著就要求學(xué)生掌握如何識(shí)別關(guān)鍵詞（Kea words）、中心句（Kea sentences）的技巧，可以告訴學(xué)生，每一段的第一和第二句話以及最后一句話往往都是這一段的中心句。
The teacher ask the students the following questions:
1. What is the definition of “Theme Park”?
2. Can you give some names of the theme parks?
After asking the students to read the text quickly and find the answers to the questions, the teacher checks the answers with the students.
Step 3 Intensive reading
精讀是閱讀課的又一重要部分，通過(guò)這種訓(xùn)練，可以讓學(xué)生得到兩個(gè)方面的益處：一，可以讓學(xué)生學(xué)到更多的知識(shí)，尤其是國(guó)外的文化背景以及各種相關(guān)的課外知識(shí)。二，讓學(xué)生了解各種題材的英語(yǔ)文章的結(jié)構(gòu)和寫法，提高學(xué)生的寫作水平。
First, ask the students to read the passage again while listening to the tape, and then, ask them to answer these questions:
1. How to divide the whole passage into several parts?
通過(guò)分段可以了解這篇文章的大體結(jié)構(gòu)。
2. Find the key sentences in each paragraph.
通過(guò)概括段落大意，可以學(xué)習(xí)文章的具體的知識(shí)。
First part: Paragraph 1
Main idea: What is a “Theme Park” and what is its personality?
Second Part: Paragraph 2&3
Main idea: Introduce some certain examples of theme parks to the readers.
Third part: Paragraph4
Main idea: Theme parks are more and more important and popular.
Step4 post reading
這一部分是提高學(xué)生技能的一個(gè)項(xiàng)目，是升華課本知識(shí)的一個(gè)重要手段。要求學(xué)生在讀過(guò)這篇文章后能夠在實(shí)際生活中運(yùn)用所學(xué)到的知識(shí)。但是根據(jù)學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況，可以通過(guò)任務(wù)教學(xué)的方法讓學(xué)生自己設(shè)計(jì)一個(gè)主題公園。
Answers to the questions in post reading:
1. Theme parks offer a large variety of attractions and may teach something. They have special celebrations and kinds of food to eat.
2. Possible reasons include: People want more than just fun; People want to learn something when they visit a park; etc.
3. People go on rides, eat, watch others, and just relax.
4. Encourage the students to create an English-Speaking World Park by using the skills they have learned in this passage and the creativity they have.
通過(guò)這些練習(xí)使學(xué)生更加熟悉課文內(nèi)容，鞏固了課堂學(xué)習(xí)，還可以開發(fā)學(xué)生的創(chuàng)新思維，符合了新大綱的要求。
Step 5 Homework
Ask the students to read the text until they can read it fluently, during which, underlined the difficulties and sentences that are hard to understand. Do the language study exercises before we explain the language points.
通過(guò)家庭作業(yè)進(jìn)一步鞏固課堂學(xué)習(xí)，加深學(xué)生對(duì)知識(shí)的理解，達(dá)到溫故而知新的目的；通過(guò)它，還可以讓學(xué)生對(duì)下一堂課的內(nèi)容進(jìn)行預(yù)習(xí)，提高課堂效率。
