Many of the world's pollution problems have been caused by the crowding of large groups of people into cities. Supply for the __1__ of the people leads to__2__ pollution by industry. Every Chinese-language textbook starts out with the standard phrases for greeting people; but as an American, I always found myself __1__ to speak freely when it came to seeing guests off at the door.
