短語精講
1.I’m going to buy a packet of sweets.
a packet of 一袋。其后可接可數名詞復數或不可數名詞用來表示數量。
不可數名詞沒有復數形式，在表示數量時，常用“a+單位量詞+of+不可數名詞”結構。
（1）a+單位量詞+of+不可數名詞

情態動詞
概念：情態動詞是一種本身有一定的詞義，表示說話人的情緒、態度或語氣的動詞，但不能單獨作謂語，只能和其他動詞原形構成復合謂語，沒有人稱和數的變化。
B1情態動詞can 與cannot
我們用can 表示某人具備某種能力做某事。 如：
I can play basketball.
We can finish the work in 20 minutes.
其否定形式為cannot 或can’t . 如:I cannot swim.

疑問句中， 把can 提到句首， 將can 與主語的位置對調。

B2 情態動詞may 與may not
在請求對方的許可， 或是準許你做某事時， 常用情態動詞may 和can. may 比較正式，can 較常用且更口語化一些。 如：
May I leave work early today? - 我今天可以早點下班嗎？

Can I open a window ? - 我可以開扇窗嗎？
Yes, you can - 你可以 No, you can’t - 你不可以

B3 情態動詞 must 與must not
must 用以表示“必須做某事” 或“一定要做某事”， 具有強制性， 表達一種責任或義務或表示很有必要做某事； 或在提出建議時使用， 意為“應該； 得”。 如:
We must obey the school rules.
The windows are very dirty. I must clean them.
We must go to the bank today. We haven’t got any money.
must 的否定形式是mustn’t, 表示“禁止”， “決不允許”，具有強制性。 如:
I must hurry, I mustn’t be late.
You mustn’t forget to phone Julia.
must 用于一般疑問句中，其肯定和否定回答應引起我們的注意。
Must I go now ? - 我現在一定要走嗎？Yes, you must .- 是的；你一定要走。
