3.offer vt. & n.提供；出價，開價；vi.(主動)提出(愿意做某事)

offer后可接雙賓語，但不接動名詞作賓語。
offer sb.sth.=offer sth.to sb.提供給某人某物
offer to do sth.主動提出做某事
offer sb.some money for sth.出價買某物
offer sb.sth.for some money要價賣某物
accept/refuse/turn down an offer接受/拒絕/謝絕好意
make an offer of提議，提供
★易混辨異 offer/provide/supply
(1)offer提供，側重主動給予，多指具體的事物。
多用于：offer sb. sth.或offer sth. to sb.。
(2)provide供應，供給，表示事先準備好必需品來
“供應”。一般用于：provide sth. for sb.與provide sb. with sth.。
(3)supply補給，供給，提供，只用于具體事物，側
重補充不足的人員或物品，有時可以與provide互換。
經常用于：supply sth. to sb.或supply sb. with sth.
4. in particular 特別，尤其，相當于adv.particularly.

Be particular about/over 對...吹毛求疵，極為講究。
She is particular about what she wears .她對于穿著很講究。
Although引導讓步狀語從句，主語中不用but.有時可用though 代替。
Although he is tired ,he insists on going here with us .雖然他很 累，（但是）他仍堅持和我們同去那兒。（此處可用though代替）
★易混辨異 although/though/as
（1）although不用倒裝
（2）though 可用于倒裝結構
Though he got up early ,he missed the train .盡管他起得很早，但 還是錯過了火車。

Though 可與even連用，表示“即使”可用even if 替換
Even though/if it is difficult to deal with the problem ,you should not give it up .即使這個問題很難處理，你也不應該放棄。
（3）as 引導狀語從句時必須倒裝（單數可數名詞前不用冠詞）
Tired as he is ,he won’t leave.盡管他很累，他也不會離開。
Child as he is ,he knows a lot.盡管他很小，他知道很多。

（2）take it for granted +that 從句

12.effect: n.影響
(1)have no/little/much/a great/a good/a bad/effect on/upon … 對… 沒有/幾乎沒有/有很大/有重大/有好的/有壞的影響

(2)affect: 主要用作動詞，意為“對……有影響，發生作用” = have an effect on
