檢查完后,引入新課.
T: Ok, My little friends. Today we’ll learn Lesson 57. “Where are they from?”
Step1: At first. Please look at the blackboard.(教師出示一張地圖)
T: This is a map.(教師領(lǐng)讀, 學(xué)生跟讀map)
T: This is north. North points up on a map.(教師領(lǐng)讀north.找一組學(xué)生一個(gè)接一個(gè)的讀north.)用同樣的方法教授south, east, west.
T: Ok, let’s listen to the tape and read the sentences.
Step2: Practice
1. Game. 教師出示一張地圖,一名同學(xué)站在地圖前,指出正確的方向,一名同學(xué)使用短語such as: point north/ south/ east/ west.其他同學(xué)在第一個(gè)學(xué)生指出正確的方向時(shí),鼓掌,錯(cuò)誤的重新指正,最少找5組,以上學(xué)生練習(xí).
2. Practice.
教師出示一張world map. Ask: What countries are north? 找3-5名學(xué)生回答,用同樣的方法以學(xué)生一問一答的形式練習(xí).
S1: What countries are south?
S2: …is south.
Step3: Lesson57 N2 Where are they from?
T: says: What do the students already know about English speaking countries?
Does anyone have any relatives living in English-speaking countries?
Now please look at the blackboard.(教師出示世界地圖,和學(xué)生一起指出說英語的國家.)
Step4: 1.指導(dǎo)學(xué)生練習(xí)讀對(duì)話一遍.
2. Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student book. Then ask the students to read each sentence aloud with you.
3. 要求學(xué)生分組練習(xí):Teacher says: Practice in pairs. 練習(xí)3分鐘后,要求學(xué)生分組表演對(duì)話.)

Step1: 教師出示一張世界地圖.
Teacher: Look, my little friends! This is a world map.（領(lǐng)讀map３遍．）Let’s guess. What’s the meaning of the world?(要學(xué)生猜測world的含義)
Ask: What color is China?(請一名學(xué)生回答)
２. Where is the United States?(請一名學(xué)生上前面來指出United States的位置)

5. What country is yellow?(教師針對(duì)每一個(gè)問題分別找學(xué)生回答。)
出示幻燈片：Discuss: What do the students already know about English speaking countries?(分別出示Australia, UK, USA, Canada的風(fēng)土人情幻燈片)。
Step2: practice.
1. Ok, We have already known a lot about English speaking. Now let’s read the part in pairs. (給大家３分鐘時(shí)間分別成組練習(xí)。)
2. Play the audiotape as the students follow along in their student books.
3. Ask the students to read each sentence aloud with you.
4. Ask the students to practice in pairs and act it out.(再給學(xué)生２分鐘的時(shí)間練習(xí)讀對(duì)話，２分鐘后找６－８組學(xué)生分別到前面來示范表演對(duì)話。)

Step3: Look, class. 出示幻燈片，領(lǐng)讀north, south, east, west 這幾個(gè)單詞，教師領(lǐng)讀一遍后，找３名學(xué)生繼續(xù)領(lǐng)渡這幾個(gè)單詞。
Teacher says: Today we’ll learn the song . At first, let’s listen to the tape.(出示幻燈片這首歌曲的歌詞)。
２. Learn the song line by line.

We live in China, We speak Chinese.(教師教授speak, Chinese).教師領(lǐng)讀５遍，找２組學(xué)生分別讀這幾個(gè)單詞。）
We speak Chinese. Chinese is the meaning of “漢語“。

T: 出示幻燈篇，講解speak的用法。

Point to Beijing and Ottawa and say:

Ottawa is the Capital city of Canada.
Discuss: What do you know about Canada?

2. Explain. Note that in Canada, they speak English and French because many French people lived in Canada when Canada became a country.
3.Read. 同時(shí)要求同學(xué)模仿對(duì)話，兩個(gè)人一組表演對(duì)話，然后向全班同學(xué)展示。
Step4: Presentation
1. 介紹Canada's flag,Niagara Falls and the Rocky Mountains.

教師出示一張帶有Australia的地圖,說:Do you know what country it is?

Would you like to visit Australia?
Where is Australia?當(dāng)學(xué)生能夠回答出It’s southeast of China.時(shí),及時(shí)講解southeast. southeast是south和east組成的合成詞,意思是 “東南”.要注意其構(gòu)成是south在前,east在后.翻譯漢語時(shí)恰恰相反.類似的還有southwest(西南), northeast(東北), northwest(西北).

如果學(xué)生回答正確的話,教師采用 Right!/ Very good!/ That’s right.等句子對(duì)他們的回答表示贊同.

取出一組卡片,讓學(xué)生分別說出China, Canada, the U.S. The U.K. and Australia.

What’s it famous for? 根據(jù)這個(gè)問題引出lesson 63的第二個(gè)部分.

Show the pictures to introduce Australia’s flag, kangaroos and beaches.
同時(shí)講授Australia has beautiful beaches.
beach的復(fù)數(shù)形式為beaches.向?qū)W生介紹以s, x, ch, sh為結(jié)尾的名詞變復(fù)數(shù)時(shí),需要在詞尾加es.
