I live in Shijiazhuang, a city not far from Beijing. 我住在離北京不遠(yuǎn)的石家莊。

“a city not far from Beijing” is in apposition to “Shijiazhuang”。

“That” here is used to refer to “the method of teaching”, and we can also use “that” to refer to an uncountable noun. If we want to refer to a plural form of a noun, we should use “those”.

Other phrases of “word”:

倍數(shù)的表達方式常用的有4種形式:

①A＋is + 倍數(shù) + as +adj.原級＋as + B

②A＋is + 倍數(shù) + adj.比較級＋than + B

③A＋is + 倍數(shù) + the size / length / height / width / depth of B

④The size / length / height / width / depth of A+ is + 倍數(shù) of B

這個教室是那個教室的4倍大。

This classroom is four times as big as that one.

This classroom is three times bigger than that one.

This classroom is four times the size of that one.

The size of this classroom is four times of that one.

Some phrases with “to” as a preposition:

impress vt. 使印象深刻
