1. Let's look at the following words and their usage.

頻度副詞：always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly和never是英語中最常見的頻度副詞，它們在句中的位置大致相同：通常放在行為動詞之前，系動詞be、助動詞和情態(tài)動詞之后。但它們所表示的含義及頻度是各不相同的。

（1）always的頻度為100%，表示動作重復(fù)、狀態(tài)繼續(xù)，中間沒有間斷，意思是“總是”、“永遠(yuǎn)地”。例如：

The sun always rises in the east and sets in the west. 太陽總是東升西落。

Customers are always right. 顧客永遠(yuǎn)是對的。

▲always與進(jìn)行時態(tài)連用，并不強(qiáng)調(diào)動作正在進(jìn)行，而是表示說話人的“贊揚(yáng)”、“不滿”、“厭煩”等情緒，有強(qiáng)烈的感情色彩。例如：

She is always thinking of how she can do more for people. 她總是在考慮怎樣為人們多做些事。（表示贊揚(yáng)）

He was always asking for money. 他總是要錢。（表示厭煩）

▲always與not連用，表示部分否定，意思是“不總是”。例如：

2. 注意sometimes與幾個形似的詞的區(qū)別。

(2) some time是名詞詞組，意為“一段時間”，做時間狀語用

eg：I will stay here for some time.

He worked on the trouble for some time.

3. 不定代詞all“所有的，全體的”，most“大部分的，大多數(shù)的”，some“一些”，no“沒有一個”的用法，這些詞可以在句中作主語、賓語、表語或定語。

eg：All the waiters in the restaurant are very busy.

All the students in our school have to wear school uniforms.

I know most people in this party.

Most students play computer games on weekends.

all, most, some, no 放在名詞的前面做定語，表示數(shù)量的多少。

4. 疑問詞how的用法

（1）怎樣，用什么手段，方法。 How did he do it?

I don’t know how to swim.

（2）情況如何（指身體健康狀況） How are you?

How’s it going with Tom?

（3）how many，how much表示“多少”

how many后接可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)，how much接不可數(shù)名詞。

How many times do you go to the park?

How many tickets do we need?

How much water do we need every day?

How much are those pants?

（4）how often是對動作發(fā)生的“次數(shù)”提問,詢問的是頻率“多久一次”

回答可以是：Every day./ Once a week./Three times a week./ Often./ ...

eg：How often do you play tennis?

How often do you surf the internet.

(5) How long... ? 詢問的是時間長短“多長時間”

回答可以是：About one hour./ Three hours. / Thirty minutes./...

How long do you usually watch TV? 你通常看多長時間電視？

5. time表示不可數(shù)名詞，意為“時間”。 表示可數(shù)名詞，意為“次數(shù)，倍數(shù)”。

eg：What time is it?

Time and tide never wait for men.

I go to the movies three times a week.

The size of the new museum is four times larger than the old one.

注意“次數(shù)”的表達(dá)方法

一次 once， 兩次 twice，三次或三次以上用基數(shù)詞加上times，three times、five times、one hundred times.

表示“……幾次”的表達(dá)方法是：once a day/ a week/ a month/ a year twice a day/ a week/ a month/ a year

6. She says it's good for health. 她說它對健康有利。

be good for意為“對……有好處”，其反義詞為“be bad for”。

eg：Drinking milk is good for your health.

Eating too much sugar is bad for your teeth.

Reading English is good for studying English.

7. as for意為“就……而論”，“至于”

eg：As for fruit，I eat it sometimes.

8. My mother wants me to drink it. 我媽媽想要我喝。

want sb. to do sth. 想要某人干某事

有很多動詞后面用這種結(jié)構(gòu)做動詞的復(fù)合賓語。如：

9. exercise的用法。

（1）作可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)exercises。意為“運(yùn)動、體操”。

（2）作不可數(shù)名詞，意為“練習(xí)、習(xí)題”。

（3）作動詞，意為“練習(xí)、運(yùn)動”。
