Steps:（步驟）

1. Warming up exercise（熱身練習(xí)）

Spell some words used in the passage (on computers)

（拼寫文中的一些單詞）（計(jì)算機(jī)程序）

The only purpose of the following two sentences is to combine the words together, so that the students will memorize them easily.

The tourist on vacation stayed out late enjoying extra fresh fruits vegetables and cheese.

旅行者呆在旅館外很晚，享受著額外的新鮮水果、蔬菜和奶酪。

A tourist is supposed to visit museums, churches and other spots.

旅行者應(yīng)該拜訪博物館、教堂和其它地方。

2. Reading material (passage 21)

1) Listen to the tape and get ready to answer two questions:

（聽磁帶錄音準(zhǔn)備回答兩個(gè)問(wèn)題）

a) Is travel always fun and exciting?

b) What can we do to stay healthy when we travel?

Passage 21

Travel is fun and exciting, but it's not if you get sick.

旅游又有趣又激動(dòng)人心，但如果你生病了，就不是這么一回事了。

You may think, "not me, I won't get sick on my vacation."

你也許會(huì)想：“不可能是我，我在度假時(shí)不會(huì)生病。”

But, for many people, that is what happens.

但對(duì)許多人而言，這正是所發(fā)生的事。

Of course you don't want to spend your vacation sick in bed.

當(dāng)然，你不會(huì)想把你的假日因生病而花在床上。

So what can you do to stay in good health?

那么為保持健康你能做什么呢？

There are three things you should remember when you travel; relax, sleep, and eat well.

當(dāng)你旅行時(shí)你該記住三件事：放松，睡眠，吃得好。

A vacation is supposed to be a time for relaxing.

假日被認(rèn)為是放松的日子。

But very often it is not.

但經(jīng)常不是這樣。

Think about what you do when you are a tourist.

想象一下當(dāng)你是個(gè)旅游者時(shí)你會(huì)做什么。

There are so many places to visit: museum, shop, parks, and churches.

有許多地方要參觀：博物館，商店，公園，以及教堂。

You may spend most days walking around these places.

你也許會(huì)把一天中的大部分時(shí)間花在這些地方走來(lái)走去之中。

This can be very tiring.

這會(huì)很累。

Your feet may hurt.

你的腳會(huì)受傷。

You may have a terrible headache after a few hours.

幾小時(shí)后你也許會(huì)頭痛得利害。

If this is the way you fell, you should take a rest.

如果你是這么感覺(jué)的，你該休息一下。

Don't ask your body to do too much.

別讓你的身體干太多的活。

A tired body means a weak body.

勞累的身體等于虛弱的身體。

And a weak body gets sick easily.

而虛弱的身體很容易生病。

So sit down for a few hours in a nice spot.

所以找個(gè)好地方坐下休息幾小時(shí)。

In good weather, look for a quiet park bench.

在好天氣時(shí)，找一條安靜的公園長(zhǎng)凳。

Or you can stop at a cafe.

或者你可以在一個(gè)咖啡館中息一息。

You can learn a lot by watching people while you rest.

在你休息時(shí)通過(guò)觀察，你能學(xué)到很多東西。

Sleep is also important.

睡眠也是重要的。

If you want to stay healthy you need to get enough sleep.

如果你要保持健康，你需要足夠的睡眠。

You may have trouble sleeping at night when you travel.

當(dāng)你旅行時(shí)，也許你在夜晚難以入睡。

Your hotel room may be noisy or the bed may be uncomfortable.

你的旅館房間也許比較吵，或者床不太舒服。

If this is true, don't be afraid to change rooms or hotels.

如果是這樣，別不敢換房間或旅館。

Or you may not get enough sleep for another reason.

否則，你會(huì)因另一個(gè)原因而睡眠不足。

You may want to stay out late at night.

你也許會(huì)想要晚睡覺(jué)。

In many cities the night life can be very exciting.

在許多城市中，夜生活可能很動(dòng)人。

Then you should plan to sleep for an hour during the day.

那么，你該安排在白天睡一小時(shí)。

That extra hour can make a big difference.

這額外的一小時(shí)，會(huì)使事情十分地不同。

Finally, if you want to stay healthy, you must eat well.

最后，如果你要保持健康，你必須吃得好。

That means eating the right kinds of foods.

這就是說(shuō)吃正確的食物。

You are in a new country you may want to try new foods but you need to be careful about how much you eat.

你在一個(gè)新的國(guó)家，你也許想要嘗嘗新的食物，但你吃多少需要小心。

Lots of rich food is not good for you.

太多的油膩食物對(duì)你沒(méi)好處。

So remember this, if you want to enjoy your vacation, take good care of yourself.

所以，記住，如果你要享受你的假期，小心照料你自己。

Give your body some rest.

使你身體得到一些休息。

Get enough sleep and eat good, healthy food.

充足的睡眠，和吃足夠的好的健康的食物。

2) Read again and make some explanations

“it’s not,” means it is not fun and exciting.

“not me” means “It won’t happened to me.”

“on my vacation” means “on my holiday”.

“spend your vacation sick” means “when you are on holiday you become sick.”

“stay in good health” means “keep fit”.

“relax” means become less active and stop worrying.

“is supposed to be” means expected because of duty or condition. For example: He is commonly supposed to be foolish. Everyone is supposed to wear a seat belt in the car.

The whole sentence means: A vacation is considered to be a time for relaxing.

“hurt” means to cause to feel pain. The sentence means: You may feel pain in your feet. You may hurt your feet.

“the way you feel” is an attribute clause omitting the conjunction. For example: Wash your clothes the way your mother does.

“have trouble doing” example: He had trouble getting his car started.

“stay out late,” means “stay out door late”, or “do not want to go back to hotel early”.

“extra” means “added”. The extra hour means the sleeping hour you added during the day.

“rich food” means the food containing a lot of cream, sugar, eggs, and etc. example: A rich Christmas cake.
