　　這是一個(gè)屬于成人童話，屬于曾經(jīng)有過童心成年人童話，孩子們是無法體會(huì)小王子徹骨憂傷和愛沉重。他們也不應(yīng)該過早地體會(huì)這些，他們應(yīng)該在陽光明媚世界里享受著快樂時(shí)光。這與其說是一個(gè)童話，不如說是一個(gè)悲劇。童話里主人公總是像白雪公主或灰姑娘一樣，幸福美滿地生活。而憂傷小王子卻在發(fā)見愛真諦后死在沙漠里。

　　小說情節(jié)很簡單，主要是從“我”角度講述小王子游歷過程。因?yàn)橐欢涿利惗鴭蓺饷倒澹⊥踝与x開了一直平靜地生活著B-612小游星，他先后游歷了六個(gè)星球，在這些星球上，他遇到一些他覺得很不可理逾大人，狂妄自大國王，財(cái)迷心竅商人、迂腐點(diǎn)燈人……于是他不斷感慨，“大人世界確實(shí)奇怪。”在這里作者以小王子孩子式眼光，透視出這些大人們空虛、盲目和愚妄，也道出了成人孤獨(dú)寂寞、無可適從處境。

　　最后他來到了地球。在這里他遇到了一只狐貍，這只狐貍給他解決了那朵嬌氣小玫瑰給他帶來對(duì)愛疑惑，使他明白，愛意味著責(zé)任，意味著慈悲，有了愛(廣義愛)生活里一切才有了意義。狐貍告訴他：“對(duì)于你使之馴順東西，你永遠(yuǎn)有責(zé)任。你要對(duì)你玫瑰盡責(zé)。”“如果你使我馴順了，我生活就會(huì)充滿陽光，歡快起來。我將會(huì)聽出一種與眾不同腳步聲。…….你有著一頭金發(fā)，于是，一旦你使我馴順了，這將變得妙不可言!金色小麥將使我回想起你來。于是我就會(huì)愛上穿行麥浪風(fēng)聲……”愛使人懂得了憂傷和痛苦，同時(shí)使人擺脫了孤獨(dú)寂寞，使生活變得有充滿情趣和意義。正象小王子對(duì)“我”說：“這就象花一樣。如果你愛上了一朵生長在一顆星星上花，那么夜間，你看著天空就感到甜蜜愉快，所有星星上都好象開著花。”于是作者明白，這世界上，一只小綿羊吃掉一朵花兒，是沒什么大不了事，但對(duì)于小王子來說，“那就如同所有星星頃刻間都熄滅。”
